Energy, a key resource in our economy, is one of the current protagonists in political agendas and strategic sustainability plans at the local, national and international levels. With this approach, up to twenty municipalities in the B30 area have participated in a workshop for the exchange of experiences on the energy transition, focusing especially on the industrial sector and economic activity.
The meeting served to exchange practices and success stories, learn from them and inspire all those municipalities that want to start their journey towards the energy transition. In a participatory, open and practical forum format, technical staff from local councils in the B30 area took part.
One of the conclusions of the day was that the energy transition as a territorial strategy is a success, and more and more municipalities are committed to improving the energy efficiency of their ecosystem through the promotion of the use of energy renewables, the promotion of self-consumption, or the creation of energy communities, both in the services of the municipality and in its industrial fabric.
The meeting is part of the project of the XACB30 (Circular Action Network of the B30), the working group on circular economy of Area B30 that has been working since 2018 to boost the circular economy in the territory of the B30.
