This morning, the Executive Committee of the Àmbit B30 Association met in telematic format to discuss and agree on the proposed Work Plan for this year 2022. A document that emphasizes the challenges of the Polygons of Economic Activities (PAEs) of the B30 in the areas of energy transition and sustainable mobility and the necessary infrastructure for its deployment.
During the debate, it was emphasized that it is essential to have a better transport network – internal and external – in the territory of the B30, as a factor of competitiveness and economic growth. In addition, there are needs that must have a global look and a joint reflection of the whole territory.
Among other issues, the different areas of work of the entity have also been reviewed, as is the case of Hub b30, in which work is being done to draw up a map of collaborative and innovative initiatives and projects. which are being carried out in the B30 territory, for the purpose of detecting needs and interests. These actions will make it possible to effectively define future objectives and actions that will be focused on four main areas of interest, with industry as a transversal axis: Entrepreneurship; Training and talent, Digitization and technology and Sustainability, circularity and the environment. All this with the common goal of fostering the connection with the agents of the Quadruple Helix – public administrations, academia, companies and civil society – and responding to the challenges of the B30 territory.
The work carried out by the B30 Circular Action Network (XAC B30) has also been transferred, which has revolved around the idea of local bodies as facilitators of the circular economy. In this sense, the strength of local agents and how they can get the circular economy to infiltrate the territory through collaboration schemes between companies, financial and technical support programs, or through of training and awareness.
The meeting, chaired by the President of the Association and Mayor of Mollet del Vallès, Josep Monràs, who emphasized the “role we have as an Association to make our voice heard and represent the interests of all actors – public and private – that we are part of our territory ”.
